Gypsies!

This could totally be my life in 15 years. Or maybe I just like the humorous way that it points out that things don't always go as planned, but they're not usually unsalvageable. Whatever. As long as I get sweet a stocking cap.
Speaking of muffins, I saw some pretty tasty looking chocolate cupcake/cakey things on Good Eats filled with a vanilla ice cream sauce. If I wanted to take some time off my life, I'd consider them. Maybe when I come home I'll make them just to make some friends.
I *did* however make some crab rangoon last week using some of my left over pasta dough. If you've never heard of or had this particular chinese-american fried gold, shame on you. Get on that. It went over a hit. My roommate said immediately how amazing they were and that she'd never had them before. She then proceeded to eat them all, as I had already eaten, and then tell me that she needed a nap. Haha. My crab rangoon are sexy. The exciting part, for those of you who haven't realized it yet, is that I'm pretty sure you can put any tasty thing in a won-ton wrapper. Amazing pockets of fried deliciousness, anyone? Start coming up with ideas.
On the non-kitchen front, I went to this gypsy street flea market on the other side of the river on Saturday with my roommate and her friend. Having grown up going to flea markets what seemed like every other Saturday during the summer, I felt right at home. The exciting bit though was that I happened to wander into a store that had some screen prints on display along the route. Upon request, the cute girl inside was kind enough to call a few people and then give me the number of a friend who has a studio all to help me in my search for screen printing supplies/experience. I'm planning on calling the guy today. We'll see what comes of it.

You continually impress me with your ability to entertain yourself- its ridiculous how you just go out and FIND things, do things, and make contacts for other interesting endeavors.
I wish I did things with my time.
